Hymn of Preparation  Before the Throne of God Above(DeChenez)

GOD CALLS HIS PEOPLE TO WORSHIP
It is God Himself who calls His people to worship.
We come praising him, confessing our sins and the one true faith.

*Call to Worship  Psalm 100:1-5

Leader: “Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Com into his presence with singing!”

All: "Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations.”

Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon

Leader: Hear the words of the gospel: Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer.  I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD," and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. - Psalm 32:1-5

All: Lord God, we thank you for the light of the Gospel. The Gospel Message exposes the deeds of our flesh and exposes them to the light of your provision for forgiveness in Christ Jesus; it also reveals your mercy and grace leading us to repentance and faith. By your Spirit, persuade and enable us to enter into the place of repentance toward you and faith in our Lord Jesus; who offered himself as the perfect sacrifice to satisfy your divine justice. In him restore to us the joy of your salvation; bind up that which is broken, give light to our minds, strength to our wills and rest to our souls. Let us rest in the place of faith, where whosoever believes in Him has everlasting life. Hear us now, as we confess our secret sins to you silently,

Silent Prayer

Leader: If you are trusting in Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins, hear and believe his words of pardoning grace: But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved - Ephesians 2:4-5

GOD SPEAKS TO HIS PEOPLE THROUGH HIS WORD
The Scriptures and the Sacraments are the means God uses to communicate to us the benefits of redemption. He makes them effectual to his own for their salvation. We participate by faith.
