GOD CALLS HIS PEOPLE TO WORSHIP
It is God Himself who calls His people to worship.
We come praising him, confessing our sins and the one true faith.

*Call to Worship  Psalm 149:1.4

Leader: Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly!

Congregation: For the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation.

*Prayer of Invocation

*Hymn of Praise
No. 361  O Praise Ye the Lord

*Reading of the Law   Mark 12:29-31

Jesus answered,"The most important is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon

Leader: Hear us O God, most holy and most merciful, as we pray(quietly, then aloud together)

Congregation:  Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love. My sin has been against you, although it has hurt and offended others as well. It is against you that I have rebelled. It is you I have not praised or thanked. It is you I have not trusted. It is you I have not obeyed. And yet it is to you that I cry for mercy. O spotless Lamb of God, take away my sin by your atoning sacrifice. In the name of Jesus Christ deliver me, O God of my salvation, my heart will rejoice and my tongue will sing aloud of your deliverance. Amen.

Leader: Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.-Romans 5:1-2

GOD SPEAKS TO HIS PEOPLE THROUGH HIS WORD
