GOD CALLS HIS PEOPLE TO WORSHIP
It is God Himself who calls His people to worship.
We come praising him, confessing our sins and the one true faith.

*Call to Worship  Psalm 103:22, Exodus 15:2

Leader:  Bless the LORD, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul!

Congregation: The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

*Prayer of Invocation

*Hymn of Praise
No. 76  Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven

*Reading of the Law   Mark 12:29-31

Jesus answered, "The most important is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon

Leader: Hear us O God, most holy and most merciful, as we pray. confessing and repenting together, then silently,

Congregation: God of Grace, you love us, but we have not loved you. You call, but we have not listened. We walk away from neighbors in need, wrapped up in our own concerns. By our actions and our attitudes we praise what you condemn. Help us to admit our sin, so that as you come to us in mercy we may repent, turn to you, and receive forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Hear us as we come to you silently...

Leader: To all who are trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, hear these words of His pardoning grace: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
